Fernando Sant’Anna entered the 20th century maintaining a delicate balance between the radical nature of the ideas of a convicted communist and the flexibility of a man open to dialogue. Born in Irará in the backlands of Bahia in 1916, he is the main character of Adorável Comunista. Published in 2002 by Versal Editores, Antonio Risério develops a narrative that, without losing focus on the main character, describes the history of the Brazilian left-wing movement in the 20th century.
Cultural ContributionsPartnership

Odebrecht’s practice of establishing partnerships with publishers, universities, class entities and government agencies has allowed it to launch important projects in the cultural area.
These are works that promote discussions on the past, present and future of different social segments. The books developed by scholars also help defend and preserve Brazil’s historic, artistic and cultural heritage.
