Odebrecht Infraestrutura is also involved in projects in the areas of mining, sanitation, sports arenas and irrigation – all fundamental to Brazil's development.
In addition to providing engineering and construction services, the company participates as investor and operator in new businesses by means of Odebrecht TransPort, focused on concessions in the highway, urban transport, logistics infrastructure (ports and ducts) and airport sectors.
The company has accumulated experience in large projects, such as stretches of the São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro subways, the expansion of the Carajás and Ponta da Madeira railroad return loops and the construction and duplication of D. Pedro I (São Paulo) highway.
Highlights for Odebrecht Infraestrutura in 2010 include the following:
- Construction of the Pernambuco Arena in Recife (PE) and Corinthians Stadium (SP), remodeling of Maracanã Stadium (RJ) and reconstruction of the Fonte Nova Stadium (BA) for the 2014 World Cup.
- PPP at the Maravilha Port, the revitalization project focused on Rio de Janeiro’s port region.
- Rio de Janeiro Subway Line IV.
- Transoeste, the BRT (Bus Rapid Transit) corridor in Rio de Janeiro.
- Alcântara Satellite Launch Base (RJ).
- Duplication of Carajás Railroad (PA).
- Construction of Stretch 7 of the São Paulo Subway Line 5.
